Mike and Bobette have been married for almost 9 years! We are so grateful for each other. We got to know each other in our Singles Ward. Wow, what a unique way for a couple to get together in Utah! Mike served a mission in California and a long six months after he returned home we were married. After moving around a couple of times, we bought our first home in Salt Lake City. We love our home and the good friends we have made while living here. Our home has been great. We have a big yard and a great neighborhood to raise kids. We have been so blessed with the good things of life. We also got a cute black lab named Tag. About 2 years after buying our home we were blessed to be able to adopt our first son, Aidan. Aidan is a joy. We are so grateful for Aidan’s birth mom, Rachel for allowing us to be his parents and raise him in the gospel. We enjoyed getting to know her and sharing our lives with each other.
Right now our lives are so happy and full. We are busy being parents to a very active four-year-old. We are working on hopefully welcoming another baby into our home when the time is right. We enjoy being very involved in our church callings. We love our home and yard and we have fun making it our own. We recently started our first vegetable garden. This summer we were able to enjoy wonderful tomatoes, peas, onions, garlic and peppers, to name a few. We look forward to the spring when we will plant another one.
We have a strong testimony of the restored gospel and know that our Savior lives and loves each of us. Our hope is that we can teach our children the right way to live and be happy. Our goal is to one day return to live with our Heavenly Father with our friends and family.
Hobbies and Interests
We love to do pretty much anything as long as it is together. Our lives are sure busy with our wonderful son, Aidan. We love visiting grandmas and grandpas as much as we can so they can spoil Aidan. We have taken some fun trips rec
ently. We went to Moab and enjoyed hiking all over the beautiful mountains. We were impressed that Aidan hiked up to Delicate Arch with us. He had so much fun and called the arch the ‘pants’ because it looked like a pair of pants to him. Since Aidan loves riding his bike so much we all bought bikes and have enjoyed going on rides together. We also started our first vegetable garden last spring. We have all enjoyed working hard on that. It is pretty big and has produced so much! We enjoy doing activities that allow us to talk with each other and have fun with each other.
Mike and Bobette try to go on dates as often as we can. We have some wonderful young women in our ward that love Aidan to pieces and are willing to babysit. Mike and Bobette enjoy going to movies together, going out to eat, or just getting ice cream. Sometimes our dates consist of making caramel popcorn and watching a movie together after Aidan goes to bed. We have also enjoyed reading books together. We have read all of the Harry Potter books and are excited for the next one to come out. We love the Chronicles of Narnia, and have listened to some books on tape together.
We love being a family and we try to stay close to each other. We want our home to be a safe and comfortable place from the troubles of the outside world. We do our best to invite the Spirit of the Lord into our home and lives by the way we live.

Mike
Mike is also the oldest in his family. He has one younger sister and two younger brothers. Mike is a self-proclaimed computer geek. He is quite proud of that title. He also loves music, mostly singing. He has been part of several choirs and really enjoys that. He enjoys paintballing, gardening, cooking (Bobette is so grateful for that) and anything that has to do with a computer. Everyone in our ward and neighborhood knows who to call when they have a computer problem because Mike can fix about anything. Mike is also a Lacrosse ref. He has reffed many sports but Lacrosse is his current favorite. He loves being a dad. He and Aidan plan on going snowboarding this winter. Aidan Aidan is four years old. Bobette is the oldest with 2 younger brothers. Bobette loves anything to do with music. She plays the violin, piano and organ. She loves to listen to music as much as she can. Some of her hobbies are sewing, quilting, decorating and painting. Cleaning is also one of her hobbies. She loves getting pedicures and LOVES candy and chocolate. Of course, her favorite things are Mike and Aidan. Physical activity has never been something she has enjoyed until she recently started working out with some friends at a gym. Exercise has helped her to get in shape and helps her keep up with Aidan. Another new hobby she has is making DVDs. She is still an amateur but she has had a lot of fun making movies for grandparents and for herself. She graduated from Utah State University in Education. She taught school for four years until Aidan was born. She did what she always wanted to do and quit teaching to be a full-time mom. She loves being home with Aidan. She has enjoyed playing the piano and organ at various church meetings and continues to do so when the opportunity arises. She is currently the second counselor in the Young Women Presidency in our ward. She has been at it for over 2 years. She loves working with the youth. Bobette loves serving in the gospel and has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ.
